How the estimate is worked out
- Down payment is the percentage of the car price you pay up front.
- Amount financed is the car price minus the down payment.
- Markup is the amount financed multiplied by the yearly rate and the number of years.
- Monthly payment is the amount financed plus markup, divided by the number of months.
